Ingredients

  • Ground pork - 250 grams
  • Shredded cabbage - 100 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Almond flour - 30 grams
  • Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free) - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar-free mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar-free ketchup - 1 tablespoon
  • Sriracha - to taste
  • Pickled ginger - for garnish
  • Nori (seaweed) strips - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, shredded cabbage, egg, almond flour, soy sauce, chopped green onions, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are fully cooked and golden brown.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the sauce by mixing the sugar-free mayonnaise, sugar-free ketchup, and Sriracha in a small bowl. Adjust the Sriracha according to your spice preference.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and place them on a plate. Drizzle the sauce generously over the top of each patty.
  6. Garnish the burgers with pickled ginger and nori strips. Serve immediately.
