Ingredients
- Water - 300 ml
- Agar-agar powder - 2 g
- Erythritol or Monk fruit sweetener - 30 g
- Matcha powder - 1 tsp
- Salt - a pinch
Steps
- In a small saucepan, combine 300 ml of water and 2 g of agar-agar powder. Stir well to dissolve the agar-agar.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Add 30 g of erythritol (or monk fruit sweetener) and a pinch of salt to the agar-agar mixture. Stir until fully dissolved.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and divide the mixture into two equal portions.
- In one portion, whisk in 1 tsp of matcha powder until fully incorporated.
- Pour the matcha mixture into a mold or serving dish and refrigerate for 10 minutes until slightly set.
- Once the matcha layer has set, carefully pour the remaining clear agar mixture over it.
- Refrigerate for an additional 10-15 minutes until fully set.
- Once set, slice into desired shapes and serve chilled.
