Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams, thinly sliced
  • Cauliflower rice - 200 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, thinly sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
  • Mirin (or sugar-free alternative) - 1 tablespoon
  • Beef broth - 100 ml
  • Heavy cream - 100 ml
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the sliced onions until they are translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Increase heat to medium-high and add the beef slices, cooking until browned on all sides.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce, mirin, beef broth, and heavy cream. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine the cauliflower rice with sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  7. Spread the cauliflower rice mixture evenly in a baking dish.
  8. Pour the beef and sauce mixture over the cauliflower rice, ensuring an even distribution.
  9. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
