Ingredients

  • Katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes) - 50 grams
  • Gluten-free rice flour - 40 grams
  • Cornstarch - 20 grams
  • Miso paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Nori (seaweed) sheets - 2 sheets
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the katsuobushi, rice flour, cornstarch, miso paste, and salt.
  2. Gradually add water while stirring until you achieve a thick, batter-like consistency.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Spoon small dollops of the mixture into the pan, flattening them slightly to form small pancakes.
  5. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. While the snacks are cooking, cut the nori sheets into small squares.
  7. Once the snacks are cooked, remove them from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  8. Serve the katsuobushi snacks warm, garnished with black sesame seeds and accompanied by nori squares.
