- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Chopped green onions - 2 tablespoons
- Nori (seaweed) - 1 sheet, cut into strips
Steps
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain.
- In a rice cooker or pot, combine the rinsed rice and 250 ml of water. Let it soak for 30 minutes if possible.
- Cook the rice according to the rice cooker's instructions or bring to a boil, then cover and reduce the heat to low, cooking for about 15 minutes.
- Once the rice is cooked, remove it from heat and let it sit covered for an additional 10 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and transfer it to two serving bowls.
- Drizzle each bowl with soy sauce and sesame oil.
- Top with katsuobushi, chopped green onions, and nori strips.
