Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Almond flour - 100 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, julienned
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat a frying pan over medium heat and add coconut oil.
  2. Slice the chicken breast into thin fillets and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Dip each chicken fillet into the egg, then coat thoroughly with almond flour.
  4. Place the coated chicken fillets in the hot pan and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. While the chicken is cooking, prepare your vegetables: julienne the cucumber and carrot, and slice the avocado.
  6. Once the chicken is done, let it rest for a couple of minutes before slicing it into strips.
  7. To assemble the wraps, lay a large lettuce leaf flat, add a few strips of chicken, cucumber, carrot, and avocado on top.
  8. Drizzle with soy sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds, then carefully roll the lettuce leaf around the filling to create a wrap.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy your low-carb Katsu Wrap!
