Steps
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Prepare the chicken katsu by seasoning the chicken breast with salt and black pepper.
- Dredge the chicken in flour, dip it into the beaten egg, and then coat it with panko breadcrumbs.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and fry the breaded chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to fit your pizza stone or baking tray.
- Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza base.
- Layer the sliced chicken katsu on top of the sauce.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken and add sliced bell peppers and onions.
- Drizzle tonkatsu sauce over the top of the pizza.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden.
- Remove from the oven, slice, and serve hot.
