Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 200 grams
  • Panko breadcrumbs - 100 grams
  • All-purpose flour - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Tonkatsu sauce - 50 grams
  • Green bell pepper - 50 grams, sliced
  • Onion - 50 grams, sliced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Pizza dough - 1 base (about 200 grams)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. Prepare the chicken katsu by seasoning the chicken breast with salt and black pepper.
  3. Dredge the chicken in flour, dip it into the beaten egg, and then coat it with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and fry the breaded chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips.
  6. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to fit your pizza stone or baking tray.
  7. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza base.
  8. Layer the sliced chicken katsu on top of the sauce.
  9. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken and add sliced bell peppers and onions.
  10. Drizzle tonkatsu sauce over the top of the pizza.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden.
