Ingredients

  • Sushi rice - 150 grams
  • Water - 200 ml
  • Fresh crab meat - 100 grams
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Mirin - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, finely chopped
  • Nori (seaweed) - 1 sheet, cut into strips
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain.
  2. In a pot, combine the rinsed rice and water, and let it soak for 30 minutes.
  3. After soaking, bring the rice to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes until the water is absorbed.
  4. Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for another 10 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix the cooked rice with soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Gently fold in the fresh crab meat and chopped green onions until well combined.
  7. Serve the rice mixture into bowls and garnish with nori strips on top.
