Ingredients

  • Ice - 2 cups, finely shaved

  • Granulated sugar - 100 grams
  • Fresh lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh strawberries - 100 grams, chopped
  • Sweetened condensed milk - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved to create a simple syrup.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in fresh lemon juice. Allow the syrup to cool to room temperature.
  3. While the syrup is cooling, prepare the strawberries by chopping them into small pieces. Set aside.
  4. Shave the ice finely using a shaved ice machine or a sturdy grater.
  5. In serving bowls, pile the shaved ice high.
  6. Drizzle the cooled lemon syrup generously over the shaved ice.
  7. Top with chopped strawberries and finish with a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk.
