- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 200 milliliters (for frying)

Steps
- Start by shucking the fresh oysters and gently rinse them under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the egg until well mixed.
- In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each oyster in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess, then dip it into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Finally, coat the oyster in panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to ensure an even coating.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).
- Carefully place the breaded oysters into the hot oil in batches, frying them for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Once cooked, remove the oysters from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve the Kaki Fry Fried Oysters hot with lemon wedges and drizzled with tonkatsu sauce.
