Ingredients
- Sushi rice - 150 grams
- Water - 200 milliliters
- Rice vinegar - 30 milliliters
- Sugar - 10 grams
- Salt - 5 grams
- Halal salmon sashimi - 100 grams
- Halal tuna sashimi - 100 grams
- Halal shrimp (peeled and cooked) - 100 grams
- Cucumber (sliced) - 50 grams
- Radish (thinly sliced) - 30 grams
- Nori (seaweed, cut into strips) - 2 sheets
- Sesame seeds - 10 grams
- Soy sauce - 30 milliliters
- Sesame oil - 10 milliliters
- Green onions (chopped) - 10 grams
Steps
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it for 30 minutes.
- In a pot, combine the soaked rice with 200 milliliters of water and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce to low heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes until the water is absorbed.
- Remove the pot from heat and let it sit covered for 10 minutes. In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved, then gently fold this mixture into the cooked rice.
- While the rice cools, prepare the seafood by slicing the halal salmon and tuna into thin sashimi pieces.
- To assemble the kaisendon, divide the seasoned sushi rice into two bowls.
- Layer the sashimi, cooked shrimp, cucumber slices, and radish on top of the rice in each bowl.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the seafood.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce and sesame oil, then drizzle over the assembled bowls.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your fresh kaisendon.
