Ingredients

  • Squid (cleaned) - 300 grams

  • Mirin - 1 tablespoon
  • Sake - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions (sliced) - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Wooden skewers - 4 pieces

Steps

  1. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. Cut the cleaned squid into rings or leave whole if small, then add to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are coated. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  4. Thread the marinated squid onto wooden skewers, leaving space between each piece.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the squid is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
