Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Pork rinds (crushed) - 30 grams
  • Keto-friendly soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil (for frying) - 3 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish) - a handful

Steps

  1. Slice the beef sirloin into 1 cm thick cutlets and pound them gently to tenderize.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine almond flour, crushed pork rinds, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg until well mixed.
  4. Dip each beef cutlet first into the egg, then coat it with the almond flour and pork rind mixture, ensuring an even coating.
  5. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat until shimmering.
  6. Fry the coated cutlets for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked to your desired doneness.
  7. Remove from the pan and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  8. Slice the gyukatsu into strips and serve with a drizzle of keto-friendly soy sauce and sesame oil.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
