- White miso paste - 3 tablespoons (45g)
- Mirin (sweet rice wine) - 2 tablespoons (30ml)
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon (15ml)
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon (15ml)
- Honey - 1 tablespoon (15g)
- Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
- Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions (sliced) - for garnish
- Sesame seeds - for garnish
Steps
- In a bowl, whisk together the miso paste, mirin, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger until smooth.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the salmon from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Carefully flip the salmon and grill for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Transfer the grilled salmon to a plate and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
