Ingredients

  • Daikon radish - 300 grams

  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped for garnish
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish

Steps

  1. Peel the daikon radish and cut it into 1-inch thick rounds.
  2. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
  3. Place the daikon rounds in the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  5. Remove the daikon from the marinade and place them on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until they have nice grill marks and are tender.
  6. Remove from the grill and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
