- Ground chicken - 200g
- Green onion - 2, finely chopped
- Ginger - 1 tsp, grated
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Soy sauce - 1 tbsp
- Sesame oil - 1 tsp
- Panko breadcrumbs - 2 tbsp
- Egg - 1, lightly beaten
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Whole wheat burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Sliced tomatoes - 4 slices
- Avocado - 1/2, sliced
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, sliced Goya, green onion, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, panko breadcrumbs, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into two burger patties.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil.
- Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and browned.
- While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the whole wheat burger buns in a separate skillet or toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked patty, sliced tomatoes, and avocado. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with a side of fresh salad or steamed vegetables.
