Ingredients

  • Ground pork - 250 grams
  • Fresh ginger, grated - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic, minced - 1 clove
  • Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 1 tablespoon
  • Sake - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onion, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Gluten-free burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato, sliced - 1
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Wasabi (optional) - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, grated ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, sake, sesame oil, chopped green onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into two patties, ensuring they are compact and uniform in size.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of sesame oil. Once hot, add the pork patties.
  4. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice golden-brown crust.
  5. While the patties are cooking, prepare the gluten-free buns by toasting them lightly in another skillet or toaster.
  6. Once the patties are done, assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the pork patty, a slice of tomato, and a spread of mayonnaise. Add wasabi if desired.
  7. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately with your choice of side.
