Ingredients

  • Ground chicken - 300 grams
  • Fresh ginger - 20 grams, grated
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1/2, sliced

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, grated ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, chopped green onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until fully cooked through and golden brown.
  4. While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns in another pan until golden.
  5. Spread a tablespoon of mayonnaise on each bun base, then place a lettuce leaf, followed by the chicken patty.
  6. Top with slices of tomato and cucumber, then close the burger with the top bun.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite side.
