- Panko breadcrumbs - 100 grams

- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil (for frying) - 500 ml
- Lemon wedges (for serving) - 2 wedges
Steps
- Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix the all-purpose flour with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- In another bowl, beat the egg until well combined.
- Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
- Coat each shrimp first in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess, then dip into the beaten egg, and finally coat thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).
- Carefully add the breaded shrimp to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the shrimp from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
