- Warm water - 150 ml
- Active dry yeast - 5 grams
- White miso paste - 30 grams
- Olive oil - 20 ml
- Sugar - 10 grams
- Salt - 5 grams
- Sesame seeds - 10 grams
- Chopped green onions - 20 grams
Steps
- In a small bowl, mix warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center and add the miso paste, olive oil, and the yeast mixture.
- Mix until the dough starts to come together, then knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- After the dough has risen, punch it down and knead in the chopped green onions.
- Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Cover the loaf with a damp cloth and let it rise for another 15 minutes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Allow the bread to cool slightly before slicing and serve warm.
