Ingredients

  • Eggs - 2 large
  • Spinach - 100 grams, fresh
  • Cheddar cheese - 50 grams, grated
  • Cream - 100 ml
  • Miso paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Water - 200 ml

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F).
  2. Blanch the spinach in boiling water for 1-2 minutes, then drain and chop it finely.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, miso paste, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  4. Add the chopped spinach and grated cheddar cheese to the egg mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Pour the mixture into two small ramekins, filling them about 3/4 full.
  6. Place the ramekins in a baking dish and add water to the baking dish until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the custard is set and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, and serve warm.
