Steps
- In a pot, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the braising liquid.

- Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low, allowing the pork to braise for 2 to 2.5 hours until it becomes tender.

- Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat and briefly sear the sliced pork belly until it is caramelized on the edges.
- Serve the chashu warm, garnished with chopped green onions.
