- Pork belly or pork loin - 300 grams
- Cooked white rice - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Mirin - 1 tablespoon
- Sake - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
Steps
- Slice the pork into thin strips, about 1 cm wide.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, sesame oil, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the pork strips to the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- While the pork is marinating, prepare the cooked white rice and keep it warm.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated pork, discarding the excess marinade.
- Stir-fry the pork for about 5-7 minutes or until cooked through and slightly caramelized.
- To serve, place a generous portion of rice in each bowl, top with the stir-fried pork, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
