Ingredients

  • beef tenderloin - 200 grams
  • sea salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • coconut oil - 1 tablespoon
  • green onions - 2 stalks, finely sliced
  • fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • coconut aminos - 2 tablespoons
  • sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted

Steps

  1. Trim any excess fat from the beef tenderloin and season it with sea salt and black pepper.
  2. In a skillet, heat the coconut oil over high heat until it is shimmering.
  3. Sear the beef tenderloin for 1-2 minutes on each side until a crust forms, but the center remains rare.
  4. Remove the beef from the skillet and let it rest for at least 5 minutes.
  5. While the beef is resting, prepare the ponzu sauce by mixing lime juice, coconut aminos, ginger, and garlic in a small bowl.
  6. Slice the rested beef thinly against the grain and arrange it on a plate.
