- Chicken breast - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 60 ml
- Mirin - 30 ml
- Sake - 30 ml
- Brown sugar - 15 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
- Cut the chicken breast into 2.5 cm cubes and add to the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the chicken is marinating, prepare a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Skewer the marinated chicken onto wooden or metal skewers, leaving some space between each piece.
- Place the skewers on the prepared baking tray and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, turning halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly caramelized.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
