Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Nori seaweed sheets - 2 sheets
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Chili flakes - optional, to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Press the tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess water, then cut it into 1.5 cm cubes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper.
  4. Add the tofu cubes to the bowl and gently toss to coat them in the marinade. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  5. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and spread the marinated tofu cubes evenly on the tray.
  6. Tear the nori sheets into smaller pieces and sprinkle them over the tofu.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the tofu is golden and slightly crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven, and garnish with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and chili flakes if desired.
