Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Mirin - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
  2. Press the firm tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 2 thick slices.
  3. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  4. Place the tofu slices in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the marinated tofu slices on it.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the tofu is golden and slightly crisp.
  7. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, and serve warm.
