- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Miso paste - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Mirin - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Drain the tofu and press it gently between paper towels to remove excess water, then cut it into 1.5 cm cubes.
- In a bowl, whisk together the miso paste, soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
- Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and gently toss to coat them evenly. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and arrange the marinated tofu cubes in a single layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, flipping the tofu halfway through for even cooking.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
