- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Panko breadcrumbs - 50 grams
- Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - for greasing
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Drain the tofu and press it to remove excess moisture, then crumble it into a large mixing bowl.
- Add the panko breadcrumbs, chopped green onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper to the crumbled tofu. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into two burger patties and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Lightly brush the tops of the patties with vegetable oil to help them crisp up during baking.
- Bake the patties for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and firm.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
