Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams

  • Ginger powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Press the firm tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, ginger powder, and chili flakes.
  4. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and gently toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle cornstarch over the marinated tofu and toss again until all pieces are well-coated.
  6. Spread the tofu cubes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
