Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Shiso leaves - 10 leaves
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, lemon juice, and salt to create a marinade.
  3. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and add to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  4. While the chicken is marinating, wash the shiso leaves and pat them dry.
  5. Line a baking dish with parchment paper and arrange half of the shiso leaves at the bottom.
  6. Place the marinated chicken pieces on top of the shiso leaves in the baking dish.
  7. Cover the chicken with the remaining shiso leaves and sprinkle chopped green onions on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
