Ingredients

  • Cooked Japanese short-grain rice - 300 grams
  • Shirasu (whitebait) - 100 grams
  • Spinach - 100 grams
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Mirin - 1 tablespoon
  • Nori (seaweed) - 2 sheets, cut into strips
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked rice, shirasu, spinach, carrot, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, mirin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a baking dish and spread it evenly.
  4. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for added flavor and crunch.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until heated through and slightly golden on top.
