- Miso paste - 3 tablespoons (45g)
- Mirin - 1 tablespoon (15ml)
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon (15ml)
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon (5ml)
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a small bowl, mix together the miso paste, mirin, soy sauce, and sesame oil to create the miso glaze.
- Place the saba fillets skin-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread the miso glaze evenly over the flesh of the saba fillets.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and the glaze is caramelized.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
