- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Spring onions - 2, chopped
- Black pepper - to taste
- Lemon - 1, sliced (for garnish)
- Fresh cilantro - a handful, for garnish
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a small bowl, mix the grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Place the mackerel fillets skin-side down on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the marinade generously over the mackerel fillets.
- Sprinkle chopped spring onions over the top of the fillets.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
