  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Mirin - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl, mix the miso paste, soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the glaze.
  4. Add the crumbled tofu to the miso mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Place the sliced lotus root on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle with a little salt.
  6. Spread the miso tofu mixture evenly over the lotus root slices.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the lotus root is tender and lightly browned.
