Ingredients
- Glutinous rice flour - 100 grams
- Water - 80 ml
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Nori (seaweed) - 1 sheet, crumbled
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil (for frying) - 200 ml
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, water, soy sauce, sugar, salt, and crumbled nori to form a smooth dough.
- Knead the dough gently for about 2 minutes until it becomes slightly firm.
- Roll the dough into small balls, approximately 1 cm in diameter, and flatten them slightly to form discs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the discs of dough, frying them in batches.
- Fry each side for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, then remove and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- While still warm, sprinkle sesame seeds over the fried crackers for added flavor.
- Let the Arare cool completely before serving, allowing them to crisp up further.
