- Agar-agar powder - 5 grams
- Water - 250 ml
- Sugar - 30 grams
- Red bean paste (anko) - 100 grams
- Fresh seasonal fruit (e.g., strawberries, kiwi, or melon) - 150 grams
- Sweet syrup (e.g., black sugar syrup or honey) - 30 ml
- Matcha powder (optional) - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a small saucepan, combine 250 ml of water and 5 grams of agar-agar powder. Stir well and let it soak for about 5 minutes.
- After soaking, bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring continuously. Once boiling, add 30 grams of sugar and continue stirring until completely dissolved.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and pour the mixture into a mold or shallow dish. Allow it to cool at room temperature for about 15 minutes, then refrigerate until set (about 30 minutes).
- While the agar jelly is setting, prepare your fresh fruit by washing and cutting it into bite-sized pieces.
- Once the agar jelly is set, cut it into cubes and place them in serving bowls.
- Add a generous spoonful of red bean paste on top of the agar cubes, then arrange the fresh fruit around the jelly.
- Drizzle with sweet syrup and, if desired, sprinkle a teaspoon of matcha powder over the dessert before serving.
