Ingredients

  • Italian sausage - 200 grams

  • Chicken broth - 500 ml
  • Heavy cream - 120 ml
  • Kale - 100 grams, chopped
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated

Steps

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic and Italian sausage to the pot. Cook until the sausage is browned and cooked through, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  4. Add the chopped kale and red pepper flakes, and simmer for an additional 5 minutes until the kale is tender.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Allow to heat through for another 2-3 minutes.
