- Vegetable broth - 500 milliliters
- Tomato paste - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh basil - 5 grams, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon (optional)
Steps
- In a medium pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and diced carrot; cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add the diced potato and continue stirring for 2 minutes.
