- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon

Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Slice the zucchini lengthwise into thin strips (about 0.5 cm thick) using a mandoline or sharp knife.
- Sprinkle the zucchini slices with salt and let them sit for 15 minutes to release excess moisture.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Pat the zucchini slices dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer zucchini slices over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, then a layer of marinara sauce, and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with marinara sauce and a generous topping of mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the lasagna cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
