  • Fresh basil - 5 leaves, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated (optional)

Steps

  1. Spiralize the zucchini using a spiralizer or a vegetable peeler to create zoodles.
  2. Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat, then add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper to the saucepan. Stir well and let the sauce simmer for about 15 minutes.
  4. While the sauce is simmering, in a separate pan, lightly sauté the zoodles in a bit of olive oil for 3-4 minutes until tender but still al dente.
  5. Once the marinara sauce has thickened, stir in the chopped fresh basil.
