  • Fresh basil - 10 leaves, chopped

  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated (optional)

Steps

  1. Using a spiralizer, create zoodles from the zucchini and set aside.
  2. In a medium skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add minced garlic, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the canned tomatoes (with juices) to the skillet, breaking them up with a spoon. Stir in salt and black pepper.
  4. Simmer the tomato sauce for about 10 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
  5. Add the chopped basil to the sauce and stir well.
  6. In a separate pan, lightly sauté the zoodles in a small amount of olive oil for about 2-3 minutes until just tender.
