Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, fennel seeds, and salt.
- Add the olive oil and white wine to the flour mixture, and mix until crumbly.
- Gradually add water, a tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together and is smooth.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until elastic.
- Divide the dough into small pieces (about 20 grams each) and roll each piece into a thin rope.
- Shape each rope into a circle, pinching the ends together to form a ring.
- Place the shaped taralli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
