  • White wine - 75 ml
  • Fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 50 ml

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, fennel seeds, and salt.
  3. Add the olive oil and white wine to the flour mixture, and mix until crumbly.
  4. Gradually add water, a tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together and is smooth.
  5. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until elastic.
  6. Divide the dough into small pieces (about 20 grams each) and roll each piece into a thin rope.
  7. Shape each rope into a circle, pinching the ends together to form a ring.
  8. Place the shaped taralli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let them cool before serving.
