- Ground beef - 150 grams
- Ground pork - 150 grams
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Carrot - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Celery - 1 stalk, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Canned crushed tomatoes - 400 grams
- Red wine - 100 ml
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh basil - 5 leaves, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Parmesan cheese - for serving
Steps
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrot, celery, and garlic, and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the ground beef and ground pork to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 8-10 minutes.
- Pour in the red wine and allow it to simmer until mostly evaporated, about 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, basil, salt, and black pepper. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer gently for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While the sauce is simmering, cook the gluten-free tagliatelle according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Once the ragù sauce has thickened, adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve the sauce over the tagliatelle, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
