  • Shallot - 1, diced
  • Red bell pepper - 1, diced
  • Crushed tomatoes - 400 grams (1 can)
  • Fish stock - 250 ml
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Prawns - 150 grams, peeled and deveined
  • Mussels - 150 grams, cleaned
  • Calamari - 100 grams, sliced

Steps

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and diced shallot, sautéing until fragrant and translucent, about 3 minutes.
  2. Stir in the diced red bell pepper and cook for an additional 2 minutes until softened.
  3. Add the crushed tomatoes, fish stock, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes to develop the flavors.
  4. Add the prawns, mussels, and calamari to the pot. Cover and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels have opened and the prawns are cooked through.
  5. Stir in the fresh parsley and lemon juice just before serving. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
