  • Yellow bell pepper - 1 large

  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh basil (for garnish) - a handful

Steps

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the sausage to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. While the sausage is cooking, slice the red and yellow bell peppers into strips.
  6. Once the sausage is browned, add the bell peppers to the skillet along with the dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
