Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 250 grams
  • Warm water - 150 ml
  • Active dry yeast - 5 grams
  • Olive oil - 15 ml
  • Salt - 5 grams
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Fresh mozzarella cheese - 150 grams
  • Black olives - 50 grams
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams
  • Fresh basil leaves - 5 grams
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center, add the yeast mixture and olive oil, and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place it in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F). Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and place it on a baking tray or pizza stone.
  5. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the base, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. Tear the fresh mozzarella into pieces and scatter it over the sauce. Halve the cherry tomatoes and arrange them on top, along with the black olives.
  7. Sprinkle oregano and black pepper over the pizza. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven, top with fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve hot.
