Ingredients
- Ground halal pork - 300 grams
- Fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh rosemary - 1 tablespoon, finely chopped
- Fresh sage - 1 tablespoon, finely chopped
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Brioche burger buns - 2
- Arugula - 50 grams
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Garlic aioli - 4 tablespoons
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the ground halal pork with fennel seeds, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped sage, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C.
- While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the brioche buns in a separate pan until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked patty on each bun, then top with garlic aioli, arugula, sliced tomato, and red onion.
- Serve immediately with your choice of side.
