Ingredients

  • Cooked green lentils - 200 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, grated
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Oats - 50 grams, ground into flour
  • Nutritional yeast - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Water - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked green lentils, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, grated carrot, and chopped parsley.
  2. Add the ground oats, nutritional yeast, olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, cumin, and water to the bowl.
  3. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined. If the mixture is too dry, add a little more water; if too wet, add more ground oats.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  5. Shape the lentil mixture into small balls, about the size of a walnut, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the polpette are golden brown, turning them halfway through for even cooking.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
