Ingredients
- Cooked green lentils - 200 grams
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Carrot - 1 medium, grated
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Oats - 50 grams, ground into flour
- Nutritional yeast - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked green lentils, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, grated carrot, and chopped parsley.
- Add the ground oats, nutritional yeast, olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, cumin, and water to the bowl.
- Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined. If the mixture is too dry, add a little more water; if too wet, add more ground oats.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Shape the lentil mixture into small balls, about the size of a walnut, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the polpette are golden brown, turning them halfway through for even cooking.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
