- Polenta - 150g
- Water - 600ml
- Italian sausage (preferably spicy) - 200g
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Parmesan cheese - 30g, grated
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - to taste
- Fresh parsley - for garnish
Steps
- In a medium saucepan, bring 600ml of water to a boil. Add 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Gradually whisk in 150g of polenta, reducing the heat to low. Stir continuously for about 15 minutes until the polenta thickens and becomes creamy.
- While the polenta is cooking, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add 200g of Italian sausage, breaking it into pieces with a spatula, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
- Add 2 minced garlic cloves to the skillet with the sausage and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Once the polenta is done, stir in 30g of grated Parmesan cheese and season with black pepper to taste.
- To serve, spoon the creamy polenta onto plates and top with the sausage mixture. Garnish with fresh parsley.
